Re: My HH story
23 years after ETS and 7 years after ELS: I am happy to report that my palms and my feet are still dry. Palms and the right foot sweat "normally" in extreme situations, my head and my left foot are still almost completely dry regardless of the situation. CS sometimes unpleasant, but bearable. I do n...

Re: My HH story
I am happy to inform you that 20 years after ETS and 4 years after ELS the results are still perfect and that the side effects are minimal.

Re: Compensatory Hyperhidrosis SURGERY CURE
I think that cutting/clamping even more ganglia is a rather dangerous idea. There are several reports of people who had T2-T6 sympathectomy and suffer from very bad CS.

Re: Thinking about ETS
You should definitely try antiperspirants, iontopheresis and botox before considering ETS. Unfortunately, I am almost sure that the alternative medicine will not be able to help you. People tried everything: hypnosis, chiropractics, diet, homeopathy and some other practices without even a slight imp...

Re: Thinking about ETS
I play squash and badminton 3 times a week and I run 15 km almost every day and I am almost certain that exercise does not influence the clamps. I talked to dr. Tarfusser in April 2013, so my information may not be entirely correct and up to date. He told me that in his experience ETS T3 for patient...

Re: Thinking about ETS
A decision to have ETS is never an easy one. Almost all people who have ETS suffer from side effect afterwards, about 5% to the point where the quality of life is severely affected. I had a huge problem with palmar and plantar HH and I was willing to risk everything just to get rid of constantly dri...

Re: My HH story
Three years have passed since my ELS. I am very happy to report that the surgery was a complete success. My feet are always completely dry (even during a heavy exercise on a hot day). The CS is the same as before the surgery. On some days it can be rather unpleasant, but on most days it is almost no...

Re: Women's ETS in Utah, Dr. Mitchell = 60 surgeries in 5 mo
The article is extremely interesting. From what I read, it seems that the procedure cures both sweaty hands and feet. Is this the case? Did someone invent a new method? Or, was the woman in the article just one of the lucky ones whose feet sweating improves considerably after the ETS?

Re: getting t3 t4 t5
From what I read clamping T3 only seems to be the safest solution. Unfortunately, even clamping T3 only can cause unbearable and irreversible CS, but in much less cases than other types of ETS.

Re: getting t3 t4 t5
What problems do you want to cure with the ETS?
Destroying three ganglia on both sides seems excessive. They used to cut lower ganglia to treat armpit sweating, but, from what I read sympathectomy is unfortunately not a long-term cure for arm sweating.

Re: Really severe CS
It is rather strange that before the ETS my palms and feet were constantly dripping with sweat. On the other hand, other parts of my body used to sweat minimally. For example, in summer I could run for more than an hour and the cotton shirt became only a little moist in the area around my waist. Aft...

Re: ETS T-4 and effect on feet sweating
I had T2 sympathectomy and I experienced a major reduction in feet sweating for a few years after the ETS (unfortunately the feet sweating was still bothersome, but better controllable with antiperspirants and iontopheresis). It is somehow strange that with years the feet sweating returned simultane...

Re: Really severe CS
I am so sorry to hear about your problems. I too had T2 sympathectomy for palmar HH in 1997. CS appeared more then a year after the ETS and it was quite unpleasant in the first years. The good news is that with time it got better and in about 10 years it became almost non-existent. I still sweat pro...

Re: My story, many years after ETS
As a former HH sufferer (I suffered from a really bad variant of a simultaneous hand+feet dripping from the moment that I woke up to the moment when I went to bed) I think that living a healthy life (diet+exercise+avoiding stress) can improve your heath, but unfortunately, it will probably not consi...
