Re: Glycopyrrolate (Robinul, Robinul Forte), How to take it!

My experience with robinul has changed since I first started taking it. I initially took a 1mg dose in the morning (on an empty stomach 1-2 hours before food) and this worked great for a while. However after two months it no longer has the same effect, perhaps only 50% as effective as it was initial...

How to take Robinul tablets

This is purely anecdotal evidence but based on what I've read I believe this is the best way to take robinul (Glycopyrrolate) tablets. I take one tablet (either 1 or 2 mg) in the morning around 1-2 hours before food ( THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ). Robinul needs to be taken on an empty stomach and the lo...

Re: Options for people in the UK

Hi there Robinul requires a prescription from a dermatologist. It can't be prescribed in general practice. The process of getting the prescription is straightforward, I had to wait about 2 months to see a dermatologist, and then I see them every 3 months to get a new prescription. Avert can be bough...

Botox-Like Lotion Being Tested: No Needles Needed

"Pause your summer fun for a moment and imagine rubbing-in a lotion (no, not sunscreen!) that can stop excessive sweating for months using the same sort of active ingredients as in Botox, but without any needles. The International Hyperhidrosis Society got an exclusive interview with the CEO of Ante...

Do you think you will attend the clinical trial if you can? It would be great to hear more about the treatment, I wish I were able to go myself.

Options for people in the UK

I thought I'd post a brief list of everything I have tried (so far) for hyperhidrosis so that people know what is available. Driclor (20% Aluminium Chloride) - I still use this to date on my underarms. Never worked on my hands and feet. Iontophoresis - I've been using the idrostar machine since 2006...

Re: Getting a prescription for glycopyyrronium solution

Hey I used to receive glycopyrronium bromide 0.05% solution (glycoyrrolate solution) on prescription. It was made by a company in the UK called Nova Laboratories and came in bottles ready to pour into my iontophoresis trays. It wasn't in powder form as it was made to order by the company (they do of...

Re: Topical glycopyrrolate?

Hi Angie, I've tried glycopyrrolate cream before, is this what you used? It didn't work on my hands or feet either. I think I went up to 1% glycopyrrolate. I think the hands and feet are too difficult to treat using creams and lotions. The only realistic options are iontophoresis or (in the future) ...

Re: Glycopyrronium Bromide tablets - UK (NHS)

I've recently started on glycopyrrolate tablets too (Robinul 2mg). It is unlicenced in general practice but my prescription was done through the hospital itself. In the past I've also tried glycopyrrolate solution 0.05% which is used in iontophoresis. This is very very effective, however, I've chang...

Re: Summary of treatment options available

I've tried Glycopyrrolate cream before, up to 1% I think. It wasn't very effective but I was using it on my hands and feet which are difficult to treat.

Miradry for the hands and feet? Clinical trial in California

I got an email from the international hyperhidrosis society about clinical trials for miramar labs. It's a similar technology to miradry which works on the underarms, but this is for the hands and feet. I would love to try this but the trials are in California (I'm in England). Would anyone here wan...
