Fennel tea

Hi. Someone on another forum recommended fennel tea for compensatory sweating. I recently decided that I would give it a try, so will post any findings / results if any occur. :)

Re: Really severe CS

Hi. I had sympathectomy between 1999-2001, so can really relate you what you go through. I have tried many different things over the years. Some of the medications can be effective, but personally I found the side-effects just too much, so haven't used any of them for about 5-6 years now. One of the...

Re: My 2001 ELS story

Hi. I visited the surgeon in 2003 when the side-effects had been coming through for maybe 9-12 months, and then again a decade later because after all that time the side-effects had only gotten worse. His answer both times was basically the same - there is nothing he can offer as a surgeon (e.g. no ...

Re: New member

Hi. Thanks very much for the suggestion. To be honest though I think I've explored all there is when it comes to medications (Robinul in tablet and wipe form, and also Ditropan for example). The problem I found with them for treating compensatory sweating is that the side-effects outweighed the bene...

My 2001 ELS story

I had lumbar sympathectomy in 2001 in England. Two large incisions were made across my stomach and relevent nerves cut. Since the operation my left foot has always been ridiculously dry (e.g. after a 60 minute treadmill workout there is still next-to-no sweat). Soon after the operation I realised th...

Re: Post the name of your surgeon and cost of your ETS in he

I had ETS in England in 1999 (and re-done in 2000), and then a lumbar sympathectomy in 2001. These were performed on the National Health Service (NHS) by B.F.Johnson.

Re: New member

Hi, sorry only just replying. As bad as this probably sounds, I've no idea what levels (e.g T-2) were cut. All I know was that I had the following: 1999: ETS for excessive palm sweating (incisions made under the armpits) 2000: The exact same operation re-done (after only having partial succes...

Hi. Really glad to be part of the forum. :) I'm one of the UK ETS victims, having gone through ETS and lumbar sympathectomy between 1999-2001, and suffered many different side-effects since 2002. Trying to work with the side-effects is unbelievably difficult to say the least, but I guess you j...
