You can make a reasonable estimate for the US by checking out:

http://www.no-ets.com/surgeons.html

Every major hospital in the US performs this surgery, but the most experienced surgeons are private, and some of them have many legal cases against them lately.

Simmo, welcome to the forums. Many people have whole body sweating. However, hyperhidrosis treatments other than drugs are generally only effective for localized sweating. Do you also sweat a lot in your palms and/feet and/or face? My body gets cold very easily at times (probably a side effect of ha...

Bikram yoga after ETS

Since I had ETS for palmar sweating, I can also no longer sweat from my forehead and scalp (which I don't mind unless its bad for you). I do get gustatory sweating from time to time though. Anyway, my question is if anyone who had ETS and can't sweat from the upper extremities has tried Bikram (hot)...

Hi Eric, I changed all your old posts so that they now have your new name in parentheses.

I left Eric in there as it is a common name, and we even have two of you on these forums. Let me know if thats good.

Thanks.

Hi Eric, I don't think you can change username -- but you are welcome to use another one.

And I will try to remove this one from the list if that is possible (once you reregister).

Hi Eric there has been a lot of spam posted on these forums lately and I am trying to get a handle on how to solve this problem. I am sorry about your experience, but please be careful if you click on any links. All the spam is unrelated to this subject of hyperhidrosis, so this should be easy to do...

Even alcohol does this, as does marijuana and probably many other drugs that I have never tried.

However, these things are all substituting one problem for another as any person with greater intelligece than a chimpanzee can deduce.

Caroline, this site is not anti-ETS if you read it (start at http://www.no-ets.com ) and I am actually hoping for many people to post positive results of ETS. The site aims to discourage surgery till all alternatives are explored. I would appreciate it if you told your story in the my story section ...

Post the name of your surgeon and cost of your ETS in here:

If you have had ETS, please post the name of your surgeon in this thread and what you paid for surgery or what your insurance company paid the surgeon. It has been brought to my attention that a couple of surgeons are charging insurance companies up to $20,000 per surgery. I would avoid such surgeon...

Alvinsduckie, I am sure they still perform ETS in Taiwan (Dr. Lin etc...). Sweden is the only country in the world where its banned, while Dr. Telaranta has stopped offering it in Finland, but there are still a few less experienced surgeons in that country performing ETS.
