Since I had ETS for palmar sweating, I can also no longer sweat from my forehead and scalp (which I don't mind unless its bad for you). I do get gustatory sweating from time to time though. Anyway, my question is if anyone who had ETS and can't sweat from the upper extremities has tried Bikram (hot)...

Hi Eric there has been a lot of spam posted on these forums lately and I am trying to get a handle on how to solve this problem. I am sorry about your experience, but please be careful if you click on any links. All the spam is unrelated to this subject of hyperhidrosis, so this should be easy to do...

Even alcohol does this, as does marijuana and probably many other drugs that I have never tried.

However, these things are all substituting one problem for another as any person with greater intelligece than a chimpanzee can deduce.

Caroline, this site is not anti-ETS if you read it (start at http://www.no-ets.com ) and I am actually hoping for many people to post positive results of ETS. The site aims to discourage surgery till all alternatives are explored. I would appreciate it if you told your story in the my story section ...

If you have had ETS, please post the name of your surgeon in this thread and what you paid for surgery or what your insurance company paid the surgeon. It has been brought to my attention that a couple of surgeons are charging insurance companies up to $20,000 per surgery. I would avoid such surgeon...

Alvinsduckie, I am sure they still perform ETS in Taiwan (Dr. Lin etc...). Sweden is the only country in the world where its banned, while Dr. Telaranta has stopped offering it in Finland, but there are still a few less experienced surgeons in that country performing ETS.
