Botox & Insurance

Postby SleeprLegend » Wed Dec 17, 2008 9:04 pm

After months of fighting with the insurance company they covered $16 of the $270 cost of my trial of botox. This is much different than the 50% they claimed on the phone. At the same time they stated that the botox would be 100% covered if I went to an in network doctor. My next botox treatment, $500 per hand, will be done by an in network doctor. It amazes me that an insurance company would deny the treatment recomended by the Mayo Clinic.

More to come.

Hey what insurance do you have? Do they cover the more expensive iontophoresis machines? Thanks.
