The iontophoresis machine that they tested in the two patients seems to be very different and is described as a drug delivery system (Iomed Phoresor II -- Retail around $700 -- https://balego.com/index.php/product-ca ... er-system/). It seems like a very limited quantity of Botox is required using this combination treatment -- in comparison to the 100 or so injections that are typically required when Botox is applied in and of itself.

If you know a friendly dermatologist, this method is worth looking at, maybe even using other iontophoresis devices.

I wonder if people have undergone this since the study was published? I really want to try this out for plantar hyperhidrosis. I wouldn't be concerned about the botox being harmful because iontophoresis on specific parts of the body are very local to only those parts. If it does spread to the body it'll be so small so that it'd be negligible.
