Hello guys.

I've read some studies that ETS can cause bone resorption which can lead to bone loss, those studies were done in rats.

My question for those who did the surgery few years ago in their 20's is that if you noticed any abnormal height loss during the time after surgery?

I had mine in 1998 at age 20 and experienced no bone loss or height loss at all.

Hi. I had my operations between the ages of sixteen and eighteen (so not far off twenties), and have not noticed any height loss. Likewise my bones have always seemed fine - I've been lucky in never suffering any breaks, fractures etc.

In terms of building up bone strength as a post-ETS person, I enjoy using various machines at the gym (treadmill, bike, step, and cross-trainer), and tai chi. After reading the positive reports on here about yoga I'm also tempted to give that another try.

P.S. I forgot to add; the operations were between 1999-2001, I'm thirty three now.
