Drooping Eyelid after ETS?

Post by torontov »

Hello all. I am new to this forum and am glad to see I am not alone!
I had ETS in 1999 and have regretted it ever since. The CS effect has been awful but I have learned to wear black. :)

Question - I have recently been diagnosed with PTOSIS - drooping of one of my eyelids. It only started in August of 2010. Could this be a very delayed reaction to the ETS I had 10 years ago?

Anyone who has had Horners Syndrome from ETS - can you tell me if the result was right after surgery or not?

I'm guessing it's probably not related but thought I'd put it out there anyways...

Thanks!

Hey torontov, sorry to hear about your CS. Please post your story in the My Story section of this forum in more detail. Who did your surgery and what other side effects did you get besides CS?

Not sure about the chances of getting Horner's after 10 years, but it does seem plausible. I had my surgery over 12 years ago and my main and really only bothersome side effect is increased feet sweating.

That is a tragic story hunter, but kudos to you for surviving it all. More people who have side effects today need to know how much worse it was in the past. Can you post your story in much more detail in the "Tell Your Story" section of the forum? Include anything you wish, such as surgeon name, how hyperhidrosis bothered you, what ganglions you had cut, cost, how you have coped so far etc..

Thanks a lot for your post.

No problems here with pacemaker and laptop. I recommend you speak with a heart specialist
