ETS does not cure Raynaud's Syndrome

Post by admin »

Many surgeons no longer perform ETS to cure Raynaud's Syndrome (mostly due to re-occurrence of symptoms after a year or two post surgery).

In fact, Dr. Claes and Drott of the infamous Swedish surgical team state that two to three percent of their patients who get ETS for sweating or blushing problems develop cold intolerence in their hands and other extremities. They suggest that this is due to "insensitivity to surrounding catecholamines".

So the conclusion is that ETS can in fact cause cold hands as a side effect in some people, while treating Raynaud's Syndrome patients with ETS is pointless in the long run.

Check out:

for further discussion of this new side effect of ETS.

i dont think ets is a total cure for raynauds but it has been helpful
my hands no longer sweat but they do still get very cold in winter time i get chilblains sometimes but i see the positive in the summer when my hands r warm and sweat free
so some negative but i personally think the positive wins mermie xx
