HIDREX PSP 1000 Faulty?

Hi everyone
I have been using the HIDREX PSP 1000 on a daily basis. I typically do iontophoresis on my hands first and then my feet. I have seen the following occur a few times (I have only been using the product for 1+ week):
I put both my feet on (the voltage is set to 35).
The meter doesn't start from zero, it just keeps blinking.
I don't feel anything at all
I have tried adding MORE water and checking if the electrolytes are connected properly. I have also dried the towels to see if excessive water is causing this. I have seen the HIDREX PSP 1000 take a very long time to initialize and start.
This has occurred to me at least 3 times in the past.
My question is, is my equippment faulty?
