The iontophoresis machine that they tested in the two patients seems to be very different and is described as a drug delivery system (Iomed Phoresor II -- Retail around $700 -- http://www.isokineticsinc.com/category/phoresor). It seems like a very limited quanitity of Botox is required using this combination treatment -- in comparison to the 100 or so injections that are typically required when Botox is applied in and of itself.

If you know a friendly dermatologist, this method is worth looking at, maybe even using other iontophoresis devices.

Reading the artical.

This is a great step. In treating palmer HH, the depth of the injection is important. My first treatment of palmer HH with injection did not work. Perhaps iontophoresis will be better method so the skill of the provider is not that important.

However, the artical stated they used 100 IU's of botox. In the US, I think one IU of Botox is about $10. That's still $1000 USD per treatment. Not exactly affordable for most people.
