Detoxification and water fasting

Post by nukem »

Hello, ladies and gents.

Wish you successful and healthy new year.

I've read a book from Paul Bragg about water fasting as a way to cure some diseases.
As I think that excessive perspiration is a disease I hope fasting will help me.

So far I tried 20 days of eating no more than 800 grams of apples and drinking herb teas with honey.
I lost 15-17 kg. During the fasting period I permanently was feeling cold, it is a side effect.
It seems the perspiration has decreased, but I am not sure as here it is winter.
That's why it is not very smart to detoxify at this time of the year.
I recommend to give this system a try during the spring and summer.

My second attempt of fasting was with 14 day duration.
At the moment I am at rest and I make 24h or 36h water fasts during the week.

On 10 Jan I am starting my third cycle.
This time I am planning 1 week with apples and 1 week only water fast.
Or vice versa.

It is very difficult, but I feel it is working and it costs nothing.
The hardest part is breaking the fast. It have to be very slowly and gradually.
You will need great portion of self control, that's for sure.
I don't have another way to go on.

I will keep you informed about my progress.
If someone wants to ask me something personally you can contact me at:

Godspeed

Does the book specifically refer to hyperhidrosis?

What are your "excessive perspiration" symptoms?

Hey.
There is a saying "If an illness could not be cured with hunger, nothing is able to cure it".
To be honest the book is not about hyperhidrosis.
But I noticed significant improvement when I'am fasting and I hope the toxins are the reason.

As about me, I have facial sweating in warm weather, when embarassed etc.
The area down from my knees up to my feet is also very wet and I have to wear long socks.
My overall sweating is very excessive as well.

Hyperhidrosis is not a disease. water fasting is bad for you. I highly doubt that book you read was written by anyone credible (anyone can write a book) and doubt even more that it was a medical doctor.

I don't suggest anyone attempting this form of "treatment".

golfer, fasting is a thousand-year old yoga practice. They use it for purifying and healing their bodies.
If HH is not a disease what actually is it?

Nearly two months later, is fasting doing anything for your sweating?

Hello superyou.

I didn't start fasting during January.
I decided to start a long fast in the spring. The reason is that fasting make me feeling cold all the time in spite of the fact that I am very hardened thanks to my outdoor sport activities.
Meanwhile I do 3-4 days water fasts with tiny portion of honey each week and 3-4 free days .

The result:
- I am in sales and on fast days I am able to meet and speak with clients who made me sweating a few months ago
(keep in mind it is winter here). Fasting will prove its real power after May.
In normal eating sweating returns but cannot define if it is decreased.
- hay fever improved
- skin pimple improved
- backache improved
- I am in very good physical fitness shape. I go to the gym even in my fast days.

Hi, all.

I am at day 8 of my water fasting.
Here is hot spring, the temperature is 26-30C

My nose is almost clear.
The sweating is dramatically reduced but it is still uncomfortable.
After day 8 I hope the curing process will begin and the filling of huger will disappear.
My plan is to continue 15-20 days.

Wish me luck.

What "curing process" are you expecting?

Hi superyou.

Have a look at this link.
http://curezone.com/faq/q.asp?a=25,1787,2836&q=759
It describes the stages and some of the problems which fasting could solve.

About the curing process I expect:
- completely heal the HH
- healing of nose problems (secretion during cold weather and others symptoms)
- falling of my hear
- dry skin
- haemorrhoids
- improving my memory and concentration.

Today in my city was 30-33C. I was feeling great. Almost no sweat.

Have a look at http://www.soilandhealth.org/02/0201hyg ... idwell.htm

It is a short biography of Shelton, an famous advocate of water fasting.

Interesting facts:
- he has been charged several times for practicing medicine without license;
- he got ill at the age of 73 but continue to dictate his books
- his muscles degenerate but his brain is in perfect condition
- he died at the age of 90

I admit the topic is controversial.

But always keep in mind:

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
(Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.)

I love that quote very much :)

Day: 10th
Temp: the Sector watch on my hand displays 42C at the sun, 28C at the shadows
Sweating: I was sitting in my car sunbathing and napping. Light moisture appeared on my face and under-knee area. No sweating on the back and underarms.

Day: 11th
Temp: 30C
Personal weight: 75 kg (I started from 84-85 kg)

Colleagues around me was telling how hot it was in the office. But I was fine - almost no sweat in spite of the fact that I was wearing winter jeans with cotton lining. Hope improvements will continue.
