Personally I switched from Aluminum to stainless steel for reasons of potential toxicity. I don't know if there is any toxicity of either type but until I know for certain I am considering trying to find an alternative to both types. In my experience aluminum might work slightly better but both work...

Which Electrode Type Do You Use?
Just interested to see what people are using in their ionto set up, homemade or otherwise.
It would be helpful if you could comment on why you use what you do, its effectiveness and any thoughts on the various types.

I switched from aluminum to stainless steel 6 months ago because I was slightly concerned about aluminum toxicity and I thought I was better safe than sorry. Further reading has shown that stainless steel also has potentially toxic elements, such as chromium molecules and even nickel and molybdenum....
