I am considering having ETS surgery and I wondered if anyone has any knowledge on the above surgeons in Brazil?

I am aware that Dr Kux's late uncle was the pioneer of the surgery which he had performed since 1947. From all sources Dr Duarte and Dr Peter Kux (his nephew), have worked together for 17 years. Apparently Dr Duarte specialises in treating people with facial sweating and blushing.

If anyone could provide me with in depth analysis of both these surgeons, it would be appreciated. All I can find on both of them is one website, which isn't much to go by.

I would like treatment for my facial HH, but of course I have do my research. Your help will bring me one step closer to ending this problem, which we all know through experiences is major.

If your try all the nonsurgical alternatives such as iontophoresis and lotions first, I am sure you will get at least some success.

Anyway, Dr. Duarte claims that his technique is different from everyone elses and results in fewer side effects.

That is a red flag in my opinion since most top surgeons specifically state what technique they use and do not show off! Dr. Nielsen in the US is another show off who says that his technique (microcutting!) is better plus I think that he is the only one who still believes in the kuntz nerve stuff.

If I was getting surgery, I would definitely avoid surgeons who say they do things differently from everyone else! I would also avoid surgery in foreign lands where they do not speak English.

But maybe you are Brazilian, in which case the latter is not applicable.

Anyway, do much more research before considering ETS.
